Teeny Tears

I was told that, if you talk about anything sad, people would quit reading your blog. I was told that people are too busy to take the time to look at things that don't make them feel good and that don't look like "eye candy". I don't believe people are like that. So take a look at this organization, Teeny Tears (your can click on any of the photos and go to their blog or website).
This organization makes tiny diapers and blankets for "micro" preemie babies who cannot survive after their birth. I didn't realize that there are no clothes to fit these tiny babies so that they can be buried with dignity. Even preemie clothing is too big for their tiny bodies. This group was started and is run by those who have lost babies and gone through this heart-breaking experience.

Teeny Tears makes tiny diapers and blankets so that the parents can hold the baby and so pictures can be taken of the baby dressed in a little diaper and wrapped in a little blanket. The family is given two diapers...one for the baby to be laid to rest in and one to have as a keepsake.
I know that there are caring people who sew that look at this blog. Please, if you can find it in your heart, go to the Teeny Tears blog and website. If you can donate, they would appreciate flannel, pins and thread. If you want to make some of these little diapers and blankets and send them to them, the pattern is on their website for you to download. If you have problems downloading the patterns, they will send you a pattern.

If you are especially touched by this and are able, the ladies at Teeny Tears will help you start a program in your local area. If you have no time or money to help, please say a prayer for all the families. Thank you.

Thank you so much for including Teeny Tears. I don't find Teeny Tears sad....in fact it has been nothing but uplifting for me since losing my son in March. Bringing teeny tears to NC turned out to be more than I could ever have imagined; the entire community (all ages, races, genders, etc.) has swarmed together to help. Thank you SO much for being a part of this great group!!

Thank you do much for posting about this! From a mommy of an angel, thank you! I love making these tiny diapers knowing that amongst the sadness it will bring a smile to the parents faces.
