This and That....

Hello! I've been so busy! How about you? Does it ever seem like you're crazy busy but not much seems to get done? It's raining again! We now have officially had the wettest month on record!  22" and it's only the 20th! So I made a collage of the Farm Girl Fridays blocks so I can see how they look together. I think it's easier to do that than it is to lay the blocks out somewhere. Here are the 12" blocks. In keeping with the solid background trend, I need an orange background next.
and here are the 6" blocks:
I like to make collages because I can audition sashing colors too. I use Picasa 3 because it's free. One of my granddaughters, Zoe, has a birthday tomorrow. She will be 19! She goes to school at OSU and is a sweet, sweet girl. I still think of her as a little tow head that is busy arranging her play kitchen and cooking her play food while her cousin, Austin, sat a the little table talking into his play cell phone...lol.
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday! Take care everyone! XO from Bev!

Bev - she is beautiful! Love that quilt top you are working on. Gorgeous!

I sang "Rain, rain, go away" today but looking at the weather forecast, I don't think it did any good!

The blocks look great! I think you collage technique is a really good idea--your own virtual design wall!
You're granddaughter is beautiful! I have two nieces at OSU (they are cousins to each other), small world!

your blocks are coming along a treat, checked out the book but cold not find it on amazon over here, maybe just as well as I have a list as long as my arm, no longer than both arms! Such a beautiful granddaughter you have there.

Beautiful granddaughter! I like your idea about different backgrounds for the Farm Girl blocks and your mix of 12 inch and 6 inch. I've made four 12 inch blocks, and they are so gigantic that I've decided to try a few 6 inch blocks. ;)
