Midnight at the Oasis

Good morning! Last night I couldn't sleep (as usual) and so I got up and was looking around the sewing room for something to do and spied the Midnight at the Oasis quilt that I had barely started. I had cut out the triangles for the center square but hadn't sewn them together. I stitched all four triangle panels together! It is not pretty or trimmed but they are finished.
I had already decided to use this as my "insomnia" quilt top because the pattern is so busy that it won't matter that the piecing isn't perfect (at least to me). The main reason I decided to do this quilt though is the main fabric is a black dot on gray that I've had in the store and it hasn't sold. I love it and I think it looks very cool with the bright colors. There are tons of blocks and a little applique so it will take a while but unfortunately, my inability to sleep doesn't seem to be resolving, no matter what I try. So what's up with you this weekend? Are you sewing? Are you getting ready for the holiday? I have to do that later this weekend. Jason is coming early for Thanksgiving because he's going snorkeling in Florida over the Thanksgiving holidays. We are all doing an early Thanksgiving dinner for him next Saturday. Hope you have a wonderful day! XO and cheery wave from Bev

It's gloomy in Texas today, so this quilt just brightened my day. Really love all the colors.

your insomonia certainly leads to productivity Bev. Love the colourfulness of these triangles.By 6pm I am always too tired to do stitching but find myself awake at 4 or 5am and that is when I do my blogging. I seem to be going round in circles recently and not getting much of anything done

You poor thing. It must be awful not being able to sleep. But look at what you did! How I love your fabric choices! Hope you get some sleep.
