Merry Christmas to All and to All and Good Bite...er...that is...a Good Night!

First, please let me thank all the people who have bought fabric and especially you, Barbara! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! I'm sure it will take a while to sell out the shop so please keep looking if you need something. You can find sale fabrics and patterns HERE. Everyone's blogs are so festive for the holidays that I thought I would snap a pic of Charlie and Lola in their Christmas finery. Lola, to put it mildly, was miffed that she had to sit still (which she didn't) and be in a holiday mood (which she wasn't). I think her expression says how she felt posing for the photo. Charlie, as always, was his sweet self and just sort of sighed when I put his hat on and tried to pose them.
Thanks again for helping us out. Charlie's medicine is $250 a month (from the cheap place for dog medicine I found-let me know if you have a dog on medication and I'll share with you). Oh, and I was going to tell you that the patterns are almost all half price (just email me if you are wondering) and that I'm selling some of my unfinished tops in the eBay shop. Or I'm listing them...they aren't flying off the shelves of eBay...

I'll be adding more today. I thought long and hard about selling tops but I have to so, oh well, I can just stop grousing about having so many unfinished projects. :) When you think about it, there isn't much money in selling quilt tops. Just the price of fabric is huge. Doing my research, I found that lots of people sell quilt tops for nothing compared to what they are worth. When you think about it, most tops of any size have at least as much fabric as a fat quarter pack and look how expensive those are! I thought about quilting the tops and then selling them but I just don't have time. If a good machine quilter finishes a top that's made of quality fabrics, what do you think? Would it sell for enough to make decent money and pay for the fabric and quilting?

I don't know. I pray that none of you are in this situation EVER! I hope you have enough money to have a happy, comfortable life with lots of quilting fun! And that all your beloved dogs live a long and healthy life. Love you guys! You are the best! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Hi Bev,

I don't know what medicine Charlie is taking, but if it is something that we people take, you could probably get it cheaper at a human pharmacy. And, is it 1-800-petmeds you are using? I hear it's supposed to be cheaper. Good luck!

good to read that sales are happening for you but so sad that your poor Charlie is so poorly, the medication is working so well for him which is such good news.
I am a cat over but due to finances do not have one of my own vet fees here are so high but enjoy Alfie my daughter`s cat who often comes to stay and is great company.

I am so sorry your beloved Charlie was ill. So glad there is medicine to make him better.

You are in a tough spot. I've been lucky, I've only had one pet die during my adult life. It was our cat, a Valentines gift from my new husband. At the young age of 8, she developed a tumor in her throat. A tumor I believe was caused by the flea powders and sprays we used on her. I trusted they were safe. Stupid me. The vet wanted to refer her to the university hospital for cancer treatment but just the tests to get her admitted was $200. I had two of my babies that needed shoes and I had enough money for one gallon of milk before the next pay day. I had to put her down. We all missed her terribly. But we're comforted by all the times we thought we saw her out of the corners of our eyes. I truly think she was still with us!

I pray your sale goes well and that the Lord continue to send you income opportunities.

Merry Christmas!
