Go to The Lake? Not Me! I Can Just Go Into My Back Yard!

It's rained for days. In the last 2 hours, it's rained 2 inches more! Here's a photo (through the window-sorry) of my back yard! I've not seen this before!
I don't know if you can tell, but the brown is water! The entire back yard is flooded! And we are going to get 2 to 3 more inches of rain! The big mall, Penn Square, is flooding on the lower floors! Of course, Lola had to go out....sigh. She did hurry though-lol. We also have a tornado warning. Never a dull moment in Oklahoma! Hope your weekend is going better than mine! XO from Bev

Same here. My backyard has so much standing water that it looks like a lake. Thank goodness, I am on the top of a hill.

Stay safe!

certainly you have had more than you need there, I hope it does not reach your front door and get into the house, poor Lola having to go out in it

We had that here in the North Island of New Zealand last weekend. Luckily I was away so I left it to my husband to deal with. Tornadoes- no thanks.

Are you ok after last night's rain? Looks like it was bad in many areas.

My husband has not been able to mow for couple of weeks because of the rain, our back yard looks like a forest!

Just discovered your blog and saw the mention of Penn Square. We are Okies living in south Texas, and before our last move we lived in Edmond for 7 years. I miss so many things about Oklahoma, including the weather, but not the flooding. Good luck!
