Aurifil BOM for August

Good morning! I woke up so early today (4:00) and couldn't go back to sleep so I'm up and working. Yesterday I made the August block for the Aurifil BOM. Here's what I've done so far on this BOM. I wanted to do something different so I decided to not use white and to use pink for the backgrounds. I like the way it looks. Here's a less than professional looking (shocker) collage of the first 8 blocks. I couldn't get them to not run together but did want to share. Oh well, you get the idea.

It's pretty fun because all the blocks are easy and quick. I'm proud of myself that I've lasted 8 months. I have a bad history of losing interest at about month five. Hope you have a wonderful week! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Must be that time of year, I went to bed at 1:30 and was up at 4:34am! These are looking so cute! I'm wondering about how you'll set them, sashing?

Your blocks are so bright and happy! I see why you have stuck with them for all 8 months. Well done!

Beautiful blocks! I'm afraid I would likely fall to the wayside as well. I need to have a finish! LOL I like that you are using pink instead of white :)

they all look so good together and like the pink background, I am not a fan of white for backgrounds or sashing as it seems to draw my eye away from the main part of the quilt
