A Very Red Oklahoma Beauty Block

Happy Sunday to you! What's on your schedule? I decided I would work at my "real job" today and write an article about "how to hire a roofer" that is a late article and write for a website that books tropical vacations. That one is fun so I'm going to do the roofer article first. There are some gorgeous places to vacation in the tropics! Last night I finished another Oklahoma Beauty block:

This is block #34 of 36 so I'm at the bottom of my stash for appropriate background fabrics. I may not be able to use this block because it is so red it may stand out too much. I haven't auditioned it with the other blocks. I really, really want to get this finished. It's so hard to work when I just want to be piecing and quilting. Well, guess I can't put it off any longer and will get to work. Hope your Sunday is a perfect day for you! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Oh, I LOVE the red in that!! Red is my favorite color!! That is just lovely. How fun to be so close to finishing your blocks--exciting!! Keep it up, in between spurts of "real" work...hehehehe, such a bummer that we have to stop stitching to do our other jobs!! Hang in there!!

Love, love, love the red block. If you don't use it in the quilt, it would make an adorable pillow.

Don't work too hard. Just dream of the tropical vacation.

best of luck with your articles, not doubt they are done and dusted by now. The pink and red look so good together which I would have thought would not have worked just shows how wrong I can be
