Good Block Bad Block

Since I decided to copy Lori Holt and use block cornerstones in the border of my Farmer's Wife quilt, I've made some candidates. Here is one that I will use:
In the Farmer's Wife book, it is called Snow Ball and is No. 81. It's bright and will anchor the corner. I also made this block:

This one is not a keeper. I don't know what I was thinking. I wanted to use up the Sweetest Thing fabric that I used for this quilt but I wasn't thinking about value. To have 3 strong blocks with bright colors and lots of contrast won't work with this block making up the 4th corner. So I'll do it over in brighter colors. It's the Farmer's Wife Northern Lights Block No. 61.

My jaw is still swollen and sore. Eric and the girls are at Disney in Orlando so I'm seeing my regular doctor tomorrow. Hope you are all okay and have a great Sunday. Cheery wave from Bev

Your block is lovely, I like the fabrics you used in the 2nd block to, they are so pretty. Wish I could find fabrics like that here. Have a good day. Good luck at the doctors.
