Starting a New Quilt (I Know-Crazy) and a Question about the Next Giveaway

It's FRIDAY! WooHoo! Thanks to all who read my blog post yesterday! Good luck in the giveaway! I have a confession to make...but it wasn't my fault.... I started a new quilt project last night...sigh. I know, I know...you are sick of seeing blocks and I'm sure you have noticed that there have been no actual, finished  quilts. This one is Cathy's fault. She almost has her Union Jack quilt finished and I had the pattern so...when I saw Cathy's quilt, I thought that I would just make one block.
These are big 20" wide blocks. It only takes 15 to make a quilt so I'll be doing these as well as the Farmer's Wife and Summer Celebration. If you want to see my inspiration, HERE is Cathy's quilt in progress. See, Cathy was going to do the Summer Celebration quilt with me and the Farmer's Wife. So she hasn't started either one but I have started the Union Jack. See how that works...

Okay, I have a question about the next giveaway. I'm giving away 6 yards of fabric. Would you all like one 6 yard prize or for me to break it down into like 3 two-yard prizes? That gives more people a chance to win but the prize won't be as big. Let me know what you think please. That will help me a lot!

So have a great Friday! Hope you get a chance to sew! Cheery wave from Bev

Bev - Love the colors in your Union Jack block!!

Doesn't matter about the giveaway. A prize is a prize. I would be thrilled to win either way.

I think more prizes means more joy spread around so I would split it up.

I would prefer to see the fabric split into three prizes. More fun for everyone. Also, I love seeing all your blocks, never get tired of them.

I agree with Lisa Marie and Heartsdesire, the more winners the merrier :) I don`t think there are many of us who would object to sharing! And I love the Union Jack quilts too, its ion my eventual to do list.

I'd go for the less fabric - more winners way for the giveaway too. Such enablers we quilters are. I'm resisting once again. I have to finish something before the end of the year. Collecting and makign blocks is fun but a FINISH is much better!

THE MORE WINNERS THE BETTER!

Quilters are generous people and like to share so I would go with the splitting up of the fabric.

You are the generous one.

Three yards still seems like a huge win, and two people receiving three yards would be delighted.

Lovely quilt--which reminds me that I have a Union Jack pattern and plan to get started.

I like the 2 yd cuts, more winners is just more fun :)

Three prizes of 2 yards each sounds like a winning proposition to me, Bev! That would mean 3 happy people instead of just one.

maybe this will cost you much more, it depends if you're planning for international giveaways or not!

I love seeing your blocks! Keep them coming!
I'd say, three 2yard winners would be more fun!

Wow, your union Jack block is fantastic, great colours. I have finished mine, just need to get the binding on.

Your giveaways are great.

I just love seeing your blocks. Love your choice of fabrics! I would say 3 2yrd give aways. Even that is very generous!
