Some Blocks - Woot!

Looking out my window on this Sunday in Fall, the leaves are dropping like crazy. It looks like huge snowflakes. It's only 70 degrees so still doesn't feel like Fall. The crepe myrtle are still blooming. I should be working or cleaning but I took some time to do a little bit of sewing. I got another Farmer's Wife block done:
It's Block 17, Cats and Mice. I love that name. And I sewed together the houses and trees block for Summer Celebration:
I don't care much for the paper pieced rows but it's a small part of the entire quilt top and hopefully won't stand out too much. Now that I've shared, I'm going to go try to get some copy written and then some cleaning done. I need to go to the grocery store but it's going to be crazy out there today. I'll go when the kids are all in school next week. I'm such an old lady now. I even have trouble seeing at night to drive...I have become my Grandmother!

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday and getting some sewing in! Cheery wave from Bev

Oh, Bev, you made me laugh. I have absolutely become my grandmother. I, too, don't like to drive at night, am always looking for my granny glasses in order to read anything and have been heard to mutter about "all this small print...". Mostly, though, I have become the champion worrier she was, anticipating and avoiding the situations that might spell doom for pets or small children. As a kid, it drove me crazy, but now I appreciate her efforts on our behalf.

Loving those little houses & trees, can't wait to see your Summer Celebration once it's all put together.
Have to admit I always seem to be reaching for the glasses too.. be it for driving or sewing!
Have a happy Monday,
xx
