To Sash or Not to Sash....

I took a moment this morning to iron a few of my rumpled applique quilt blocks for the Plaid Rose quilt. I did all these blocks by hand. I wish the photos were better. I just can't get good pictures with my little camera.

I really want to finish this quilt! I was going to hand quilt it but there's just no way. I don't have the time and my hands aren't in the shape they used to be in.
So, I'm going to iron a few blocks a day and show you. The ironing is a big deal because (shame on me) the blocks were all crumpled up in a box.

I feel like I have a split personality. I love homespun plaids, redware and primitive decor and I love the bright, happy colors of aqua, red, yellow, orange and lime.

I guess I'm a happy girl who always comes back to primitives that feel like the holidays and snuggling in for the cold weather. Maybe that's it...a warm weather/cold weather thing. So guess you'll be seeing some poorly photographed appliqued blocks for the next couple of days. Any suggestions on sashing and setting would be greatly appreciated. I think there are about 16 blocks. Have a great Wednesday! Cheery wave from Bev

The sashing would frame the blocks. Try taking the pictures in natural light. Love the Primitive look in these blocks!

Your blocks are so pretty, love the plaids! If you take your blocks outside you might get better pictures. Just a thought.
