SHARING MY NEW LIFE WITH YOU!

Hello everyone! I'm back and I have lots of news! I've had lots of changes in my life and I decided to share them with you! You have been my friends for years now online and some of us have even met in real life. I care about you all! So here goes.

I have reached the point where I cannot get by on the money I get from Social Security. It has been so hard to try to stretch the meager amount I get to last all month. When I lost my job, I started supplementing my income with the little online fabric store I had. Well, that quickly dried up because I didn't have more money to put back into the shop. Some months I have less than $100 after utilities and rent for groceries all month (that's if I buy my prescriptions). So, I've decided to just live in my car! That will give me the extra money from utilities, rent, etc. to live on. I found a variety of blogs by people who are living in their vehicles. Instead of RVing they call it CAR-Ving. There are a surprising number of women my age (old) with their dogs! Some of them have really fancy rigs but some just live in their car so there's lots of information out there. They go south in the winter and north in the summer.

It's been a hard decision to make but I've done a lot of research and I think I can do it. I'm going to use my blog like a diary. I don't know if anyone will be interested but I will have a record of how this part of my life is going and my friends can keep up with where I am. Yes, I'm taking Blossom. We've been leading a sedentary life so she will get more exercise and see some of the country. I decided that I can either barely get by or I can take off and have my last great adventure. Until I leave the house for good, I'll write about my preparations for the road. Wish me luck!

I'm not sure what to say. I hope this life change turns out to be the adventure that you hope that it will be. Best wishes.

I'm with the others: I hope you'll be safe and find this to be a good adventure.
Our family went on a 4-week roadtrip a couple years ago, during the summer. We camped, stayed in hotels, and stayed in a few cabins. We discovered that cabins are more comfortable than camping, and FAR cheaper than staying in a hotel. I hope you don't have to sleep in your car all the time.
I blogged about our preparations. I don't know if it'll help your plans or not (we had 5 of our children with us, and it was a temporary trip). http://strangelyblogging.blogspot.com/2016/02/road-trip-clues.html

whhat a big step you are taking here, it will be lovely to take off and go where your heart tells you but take care, what about your stitching surely you are not giving up on the lovely quilts you make. Shame you are not in the UK as yu could pop in but I am sure lots and lots of your followers in USA will be suggesting you pop in on them when passing id only for a hot meal and shower and maybe a night in a cosy bed.

Look forward to reading your adventures you are one brave lady.

Oh my goodness! This will be quite the life style change, but with your attitude, it should be an amazing adventure. I wish you lots of luck--stay safe! I'm looking forward to your postings!

Somehow, I missed this post yesterday! I pray that your next adventure in life is a safe and enjoyable one for you. With your great writing skills, it's possible that you could compile your notes and daily posts into a book and even have it published! What's after that...maybe even a movie!! Keep us posted where you are and your readers will open their doors to you! I know I will!
