Today is Farm Girl Friday for Lori Holt's QAL. Here are the blocks I made last night and early this morning while I couldn't sleep. First is the 12" Country Crossroads block:
I love the big pink print and I'm always glad when I can use it somewhere. This is my 6" Country Crossroads. I'm using the same polka dot print for the backgrounds of all the 6" blocks. I wish you could see it in person because that center block is red and I don't know why the photo makes it look orange.
It's not my favorite. That's the nice thing about a sampler quilt. If you have some blocks you don't like, they will still be okay in a sampler. When I make a block I don't like, I'm always grateful that I didn't cut 48 of them! Oh well, here's the 6" Corn and Tomatoes block:
and here's my 12" Corn and Tomatoes block:
I don't love this block either. I am going to have to quit making blocks from midnight to 4 AM. So what are you doing today? Lola woke up with some goop in one of her eyes. I cleaned it with a warm soak and it looks okay. I'm praying it's not an infection because I don't have enough money to take her to the vet but would have to. It is so inconvenient to be poor. Sigh.... Hope you have a great day! XO from Bev

Love the fact that you always use such cheerful colors in your quilt blocks.
Have a good day friend.

The colors you chose are bright and cherry, what's not to like? Hope a NAP is on your agenda.
I'm not able to stay up as late as I used to..getting older is hard on my body.
try putting some olive oil in her eyes, it is great for eye infections. i've used it on me and my cats.
these bocks are coming along so quickly but as you are up solate it helps to get them done. I am the opposite to you, early to bed and up around 5am. Do hope the eye settles down, I have Afie Helen`s cat for the weekend and he woke with a dirty eye too
