Time for Grow Your Blog and Giveaway - Again!

I can't believe it's been an entire year since the wonderful Vicky over at 2 Bags Full hosts the "Grow Your Blog" party! I don't know if she realized it would grow to be so large! She has put together lists of over 400 bloggers to visit! It's a wonderful opportunity to follow new blogs and make new friends!

If you are just visiting my blog for the first time or you are one of my regular blog friends, welcome! My name is Bev and I started this blog to promote my online Etsy fabric shop that sells the fabric I use for my quilting. I started to say my "hobby" of quilting but it seems like much more than that. I never expected to meet other bloggers who are amazing, sweet friends of mine now. We email, we text and we share the important and mundane things that go on in our lives. So poke around on my blog and stop by any time and say hello!

I live in beautiful Oklahoma City where we have had a tornado, snow and an earthquake--all in the same day!

I share my home with my little dog Lola and until earlier this month, my little dog Charlie. I lost Charlie and it was so wonderful to receive the support that I did from my blogging friends.
Lola's tongue is her most impressive feature! Isn't she adorable? She is my sewing buddy and lays by my feet no matter what sewing task I'm performing.

I actually started sewing when I was 6 years old. My grandfather worked for White Sewing Machine Company. I'm not sure but I think he was in sales. He flew all over the country for them and went to trade shows, county fairs and to other events. When I was 6 years old, White Sewing Machines came out with the "zig zag" stitch, as well as other decorative stitches. This was a new, big deal! My grandfather taught me to sew...just on scraps to demonstrate the stitches. Ladies would stop by and say, "if that little girl can do those stitches, so can I". I was too busy working and raising 3 children (whose pictures are here on the blog--with the grands) to do any sewing. I actually taught myself to quilt in the 90's from the book, Quilting for People Who Don't Have Time to Quilt.by Marti Michelle and by watching Eleanor Burns on television. I still recommend both to new quilters.

I share all my quilting and sewing projects on my blog. Every time I stitch up a block, I put it on the blog. The feedback from my buddies is amazing and helps me so much! Now, about my GIVEAWAY! I was thinking of something that quilters and non-quilters or even non-sewers would like! So I'm giving away two gifts! You can stitch them but you don't have to. You can just cut them out. First:
A Delighted bunting panel! You can either add a backing onto each little flag and string them or you can just cut them out and they are ready to go. See the circle designs on the end? Those can be added to your bunding or can be used to make one using just those little circles! Here are some photos of this bunting that I made:

As you can see, they make a long bunting string and are cute and colorful. You can use them inside or out for parties, to decorate a room, on your porch...everybody loves bunting, right? And the second item that someone will win is another bunting panel:

This one is perfect for a 4th of July picnic celebration, a nautical room or to decorate your porch. I have a customer that is using these colors for her twin boys room and hung these cute flags from the ceiling. To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post. You don't have to start following my blog, but I would love it if you did! If you do become a follower or already are, please let me know so that I can follow you back! Make sure that I have a way to contact you. If you are a no-reply blogger, please include your email. Winners will be announced on the blog on February 15th.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll visit the rest of the bloggers who are participating in this fun blog hop! Cheery wave from Bev

My daughter had the opportunty to witness the damage that man & nature can both inflict when she was in OKC for FFA contests. It was unnerving for us Moms to put our daughters on that flight just 24 hours after that devastating tornado struck. They also saw the devastation of the bombing and 2 years later revisited to see the memorial and healing taking place.
Love those little pennants in your Happy colors. Hugs to you!
