Midnight sewing

Good morning! I've been working on a project with my daughter and can't wait to get that finished. I did get the background pieces appliqued onto the Midnight at the Oasis (a/k/a my insomnia quilt) center block. I don't know where my measurements went wrong but the background fabric pieces would not fit no matter what I did. Soooo, being a creative quilter and not minding if things are not perfect, I hand-appliqued the pieces in (or on).
I won't be entering it in any quilt shows and really don't mind the mistakes. There is a plain border around this block which I will use the make the block the correct size. One of the things that drew me to this quilt is the use of the gray with black dot fabric for the background. I have a bolt of that in the shop and none of it has sold. I love the way it makes the colors look. The original quilt uses this fabric in most of the blocks that will be added. So how was your weekend? It snowed here yesterday and is all frozen, schools are closed, etc. I am grateful to God for a warm house. Hope you are staying warm this week! XO and cheery wave from Bev

well if there is a mistake you are the only one who sees it! Wow, I think it is amazing. I love your use of color. It snowed here as well but not much. I am slowing putting up Christmas Decorations. I like it all up , except the tree, by Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day.

so colourful Bev and looks spot on to me. Fortunately no snow here still quite mild, hoping for a repeat of last year when we had no snow all winter

I'm shocked that the gray dot hasn't sold. I love it.
In fact I'm going to order some from you.
