It was so much fun to do this quilt! It's the first one I've done with piecing, applique and embroidery.
I wish that it was all nice and pressed...I don't know when I'll ever be able to afford another nice iron. Guess I'll get a cheap one and I'm glad they have cheap ones!
Since there was a garden theme, I used green for most of the inside borders. My embroidery still leaves a lot to be desired but it is fun to learn on a quilt like this.
and so is Lola:
So a broken iron is just a small thing to go wrong in my universe. I am so blessed! I do worry some about my traveling children with the world like it is today. Jason just got back from Japan and then went to New York City and is now in New Orleans. Eric is in Chicago for some kind of medical meeting. I'm just praying that the ebola scare is just that...a scare. Even though the kids are in their 40's, I still worry about them. Have a great Sunday! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Those are such fun blocks, I can't wait to see it finished!
You do not need to iron it to show us how great it is. You know I just love your choice of fun bright fabrics. This is a beauty. Moms will always be moms!
A happy, joyful quilt! You did a great job! Sorry about your iron, I tend to knock mine off the ironing board rather regularly! I bought a $15 Sunbeam from the drugstore and have been perfectly happy with it!
GiG is looking fabulous, you're nearly there!
Love your version of Gossip in the Garden. So bright and cheerful. Hope you find a new iron soon!
Beautiful quilt! And such sweet helpers. I use cheap Sunbeam irons and had one last 12+ years. I get the ones with steam and spray. They get hot enough too.
Wow.....what a terrific flimsy!
so good to see the blocks put together Bev it is a lovely quilt with so much to see and admire on it.Shame about the iron, I have 4! 3 old ones that have a solid bottom and a steam one, like the old ones best and cannot buy them anymore.
Bev: This quilt is SO FUN! (ironed or not) The colors are so YOU. Love it! -Derrith
