Sunday in El's Kitchen

It's a cold and rainy Sunday so I made another block from the Quilts from El's Kitchen book. It's bright and fun. It's name is Memory Fruit. Supposedly named for the fruit like strawberries, cherries and other red fruit that helps promote good memory. I have another theory (but I'm skeptical). It's originally called Crown of Thorns. I suspect that it was re-named for this book so that one of the special rulers could be used to trim it up. I don't really care cause I love Eleanor Burns but I've never heard it called Memory Fruit before.

Here is a little collage with the 4 blocks I've finished.
I've figured out how to make a collage but haven't figured out how to rearrange the blocks so they stay where I want them. I put them where I want them and then they pop back when I make the collage. Oh well, you get the idea.

How's your Sunday? Anything exciting going on? My electricity keeps going off and on. It is the wind. I have a loose connection where the wire meets the house so I'm going to have to call the electric company. I feel guilty because it's so windy and cold and the guy will have to get on the roof. Well, have a great day! XO and cheery wave from Bev

I love that cherry fabric! It is snowing here, so as soon as I got home from church I changed into my warmest pj's!

I've never heard that called anything other than "Crown of Thorns" either. But, it is just beautiful in those bright colors. It is grey and dismal here today. We had a sprinkling of snow but not enough to amount to anything,

Come on warmth and sunshine!
