So happy 18th birthday Austin!
I think he looks very, very young but he is now legal to do everything but drink alcohol (thank goodness)! I was 18 when I got married and had my first baby at 19. I look at kids this age today and it doesn't seem possible that I could have been that young when I had children. That was what we did during that day and age. We went to high school and then got married. I did go to college but got married in my freshman year. I have 3 grandchildren graduating from high school this May. Wow.
Hope you are having a great weekend (or had--it's almost over). What did you do this weekend? XO and cheery wave from Bev
I can't believe you think that getting 30 blocks done is not much time at the sewing machine!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are working with fun bright colors!
Happy birthday to your grandson! I tried sewing this weekend, but once I have to rip, I stop. LOL Have a great week!
ReplyDeletethe children seen to grow up so quickly these days and yes it is difficult to believe they can get married so young. In so many ways I feel they are not mature like we were, but maybe we were not either!Mind you I could have left school at 15 but stayed on till 17, cannot see my Sal holding down a job for 5 minutes which her grandfather did all those years ago. My granddaughter Sal is 15 . older in some ways but still young although she looks a lot older. Here they can drink at 18 but seem to start earlier than that. They can also marry with parents consent at 16 but cannot leave school till 17 and that is going up to 18 soon, seems funny married and still going to school.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are coming along a treat.
I did not seem to do much this weekend, just some hardanger, I am making dome mats for my younger daughter Helen.
My family and I went out for a picnic and did the groceries. I managed to buy a new haberdashery kit for the new project I am planning to start.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to a fellow "libra"!
