Good morning! It feels like Monday to me. How was your Christmas? Do you still have company or are you still traveling? We have an icy mess here. As I have "old lady bones" I'm not going anywhere today.
Last night I sat down at the sewing machine and decided to clear out a little area to the side of the machine. I found a baggie full of pieces I had cut from my wedge ruler. Suddenly the idea of just mindless sewing really appealed to me. I put on Downton Abbey and just started sewing. I ended up with 4 partial blocks:
I cut these wedges with scraps from projects I worked on over the year.
The sewing went so quickly that I had finished 4 rounds before I knew it! They are gigantic!
I still have quite a few wedges left. I wasn't careful about matching up anything.
I think I will put them on a solid background of bright fabric.
And instead of doing a solid circle applique in the middle, I think I will do a ring and let the background fabric show through at the center. I decided to call it Around the Year because it has fabrics from last year's projects. So again, I prove that I have ADQD. It's a real thing-lol.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! Hope you find some time to sew! Cheery wave! Bev
