Another Around the Year Block Completed! Woot!

It's the last Sunday in 2012! I'm playing catch-up today because there was so much out-of-town company this weekend. It was so great to see everyone but it's nice not to have to be anywhere. I have to say that I've made lots of progress on my co-dependency issues with family. I honestly felt the term "not my circus...not my monkeys" applied to me this holiday! I had fun and didn't bring anything home with me.

For fun, I made another Around the Year block last night:
When I was out yesterday, I managed to stop at Hancocks because they are having a sale on rick rack. I am using jumbo size so it isn't easy to find. I found some awesome colors. I've had several emails asking me how I apply the rick rack, so I'm going to take pictures next time I make a block and put them on the blog. I really can't believe how easy rick rack makes it to finish this block.

Well, I'm off to do some writing assignments. The very (very) young manager I'm working with has come up with some very creative keywords to use in the copy. Because of my character defect of resentment, I'm struggling with my attitude. I just keep saying..."I'm grateful to have a job. I'm grateful to have a job". Wish me luck.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and that you find some time to sew! Cheery wave! Bev

Hi Jenny: Sure. In my post of today, I did a group of photos and told how I added the rick rack. I used the Olfa wedge ruler so I could cut blades from leftover strips as small as 1.5" wide. On the Olfa wedge, I went to an 8" long blade and that makes a big 18" block. Thanks for asking!
