Saturday Fun in the Sewing Room!

Happy Sunday! I had a great sewing day yesterday. I hope that you did too! First, I finished the Odd Fellow's Chain block from the Summer Celebration quilt:
You can't tell from the photo but the fabric with the crowns is so pretty. It's a Michael Miller metallic fabric with aqua metallic crowns on white. They shimmer and shine and are a neat, unexpected thing to find in a quilt. Then, I couldn't stand it. I took off the aqua Double Triangles blocks from the Combination Star block I showed you yesterday and exchanged them for red ones:
I'm much happier with it and I got to use the new Riley Blake red on red stars fabric. I love their new Basics lines because the color is so saturated and rich. I also got Lori Holt's Row Along row #6 finished. It's the coffee cup row:

I'll be so happy when we get to sew the rows together and put the border on. I guess that won't be until the Spring so there is still time to join in!
It's harder and harder for me to get a picture of the rows. I tried going outside and the wind just blew them everywhere. You should visit the Row Along Flickr group (just click on the Row Along button on my blog) and see the variety of rows and how creative people get when they take photos. I also got some Farmer's Wife blocks cut out and some of the Union Jack blocks cut and partially sewn. It was a great day in the sewing room.

Don't forget that this is the last day to enter the Dot and Chevron Giveaway! If you haven't entered, you can enter HERE. I'll announce the winner tomorrow and start the new giveaway on Tuesday. Hope you are having a great Sunday! Cheery wave from Bev
