Snowed In

I'm having a relaxing Sunday..snowed in. It's only about 3 inches but it's been alternating snow and freezing rain so this Grammy is not going to drive. I am almost out of dog food for Lola (bad planning) so I hope it's better tomorrow. She's not a fan of the snow. I followed her into the kitchen this morning and she was standing with her head out of the doggie door contemplating whether to go out or not. I've been doing Flower Box Sew Along blocks today and some work on the tulip quilt.

I like the fabrics I've chosen but there are some people doing some awesome things with this pattern. There is a lady doing a Christmas quilt and one doing black, white and red.  Lots of people are using Lori Holt's new Flower Box fabrics. It's a fun project. You can get the pattern free at Lori Holt's website HERE. I'm waiting for the last episode of the season for Downton Abby tonight. So what are you guys up to today? Hope your weather is better than ours and you have a great Sunday! XO from Bev and Little Lola

I'm snowed in also. I'm making pinwheels and I need to cut more fabric to make more butterflies!

Love your blocks. So cheerful looking as is most of your sewing.

We have great weather here on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Lots of flowers and bulbs blooming. People are even mowing their lawns as it's been a very mild winter this year. I'm also waiting for the final episode of Downton Abbey, it's such a great show: the fashions, the decor, the beautiful Abbey, and the hats. Your blocks look great, also love your fabric choice. I've checked out the pattern, and I think it's one that I could accomplish without too much trouble. Enjoy your snow day.

Love that happy quilt! Bad weather days are the best! Undisturbed sewing time! Enjoy the Downton season finale...its great! I have too much trouble watching on Sunday nights so I bought it on dvd and got so immersed that I watched the entire season in 2 days!

Your fabrics are so fun and happy--perfect antidote to a snowy day!

I always leave this blog smiling, at the "happy" that is going on with the fabrics here. Beautiful, as always - hope the snow melted! XOXO

Your quilt looks great!

The link to Lori's site doesn't seem to work via Firefox or Safari unfortunately. I wasn't able to open it so I'll Google it.
