Like Wool Quilts? Take a Look!

Good morning! Last night I was stuck on the computer so didn't get to the sewing machine. But I started thinking about fall and wool quilts. I have a quilt buddy, Kerry Green, who is an amazing designer of all things made with wool and embellished like crazy! I have her patterns in the shop and love her easy-to-follow directions. I thought you might enjoy seeing some of her work. She works in wool mostly but also uses cottons. Kerry's been doing this design and embellishment for many, many years and has inspired quite a few now "famous" quilters. When I make these patterns up (stop laughing--it could happen), I will be using cottons. This quilt is called Picking Posies:

Gorgeous, isn't it! I was thinking that any of the blocks would make a beautiful Christmas stocking with berries and leaves on the cuff. They would also make a great pillow! This is her Ask, Believe, Receive wallhanging.

Look at the embellishments, use of fabrics and embroidery!

Look at the baby birds! Acck!  So cute!

Check out this bag! It has all kinds of embellishments on the back and there is an inside pocket under the flap that has a bunny! Imagine a Christmas stocking made using this embroidery!

Here's another quilt called Acorn's Promise. She did it in two colorways...just beautiful!

and

There are more but I'll stop. Hope you enjoyed this little quilt show! What are you all working on today? Hope your Wednesday is a great one! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Wow! Gorgeous! Looks like she is influenced by Sue Spargo. Beautiful, beautiful work. I could go running to my stash with that first quilt! I must resist!! Thanks for sharing.

Love her new design but I have too much wool projects on board to add another,

I've often looked at her trio of bird in the tree quilt and see Sue Spargo influences also.

Kerry has a lovely eye for design, thanks for sharing.
