Kitchen quilt and Charlie and Lola video (such as it is)

Last night I pieced the Squash Blossom quilt block from Quilts from El's Kitchen. Each block has something to do with food or cooking. It's a cute quilt for the kitchen wall.
It's an odd looking block that was harder to make than I thought it would be. The reason for that is that, although the instructions are clear, the book is illustrated with Eleanor Burn's rulers used. If you don't happen to own her rulers, you are kind of left on your own. I love Eleanor Burn's instructions. I learned to quilt by watching her on television way back when. Still, this is such a cute quilt....

Charlie has recovered from his "episode" when he came in from outside and collapsed. Lola has been really needy - probably because Charlie has been getting so much attention. I tried to take a little video of them together but, as you can see, they don't really "get" the video concept. You can tell the professional quality of our little video with the tv on in the background-lol. You can hear Lola "talking". She makes the cutest little noise. So, have to get to work. Hope you have a great Wednesday! XO and cheery wave!

That block is new to me. I still tape Eleanors shows, just watched one this week. Because of her my floor stays a mess...Just get rid of it...and over the shoulder it goes. Tickles me everytime I do it. So glad to hear Charlie is doing better. I was worried about him.

Glad Charlie is better. I have been thinking of you today as my dog injured herself about a week ago and after a second trip to the vet today disco reported that she needs surgery. Total cost, about $2000 but it must be done!

SUCH a cheery squash blossom...SO sorry to hear about your little guy's injury. I read the preceeding post and do see that he's doing much better - scary stuff when the animals get sick. XOXO
