What to work on....next!

Well, all of the Farmer's Wife blocks are finished and I cut the sashing strips yesterday. I have to re-do a block that got all twisty when it was ironed - not pressed - by me. Don't send the iron police after me! I know better. And no, I'm not going to show you. It's too sad...

After I re-do that little block, I'll start assembling the quilt top. Then it's on to something else from my ufo baskets. I'm thinking these blocks because they just need to be sewn together. This is a pic of 4 of the blocks and I have 24 finished so it will be a nice size.
I also need to add a border to my Great Granny quilt top:
I actually have 16 blocks finished and am thinking I will put on this border fabric, the red check. I pinned it up here to audition. What do you think?

So those would be come quick finishes and then I'm going to have to start trying to quilt some. My biggest problem with quilting is putting the 3 layers together and getting it ready to go into the machine. I have no room here! I can't pin on my dining room table. I can't put it on the floor because my knees are so bad and I'm so fat that I may not be able to get up! I'm just going to have to find someplace.

Another thing I want to ask you guys...my blog friend, Marianne, is going to start chemo and so you can imagine what she is going through. Would you please add her to your prayer or "sending good thoughts" list? Her blog is HERE if you want to stop by and say hi..I know she would appreciate it!

If you're looking for the Grow Your Blog Giveaway, you can find it HERE. Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! XO and cheery wave from Bev

I prayed for your friend!
I love that red check, it is a perfect border! As soon as I finish up some 2 blocks and a pin cushion this week, I am going to pull my scrappy trip along quilt back out and try to get it finished, it is going to be a light summer quilt.

looks like you will have 3 large projects complete soon, I know what you mean about putting the layers together, up till now I have managed on my table but have a large one to do, spread out on the floor at the moment working out what block to put where. I like the red check for the border. Will remember your friend and pop over to her blog.
