Sunday and another Oklahoma Beauty block

Sunday already! It will be Christmas before we know it! I got another Oklahoma Beauty block finished. In the light of the sewing room, it looks fine but when I take a photo, the patterned fabric looks sea foam and orange instead of pink and aqua. I don't understand what the camera is doing to it.

Oh well, you get the idea. I'm really close to deciding to do 25 blocks (this is number 22) instead of 30. The only thing keeping me from it is that I still haven't figured out how to set the blocks. They need something between them, I think, but what won't take away from the design? I tried laying them out side by side but the centers are all different sizes.

For everyone who asked, Charlie is doing well. Sometimes he "has a moment" and acts like he is experiencing something odd but then he bounces back. I hope he's enjoying his extra time on earth because it has ruined me financially. I honestly don't know how I'm going to make it this month. All of my savings is gone and lots of my disposable income. All this is worth it if he enjoys his time and has good quality life. I worry about the cold we are experiencing...it's 10-20 degrees every day--day after day. I worry that it's too hard on him going outside. Seems like all I'm doing lately is worry and work. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for everything I have and that I can work at home. Just wish I made more money-lol. My life motto is"that which does not kill me makes me funnier". I should be hilarious by now. Well, thanks for letting me vent. I'm sure most people stopped reading before they got to this paragraph anyway. And thanks for your kind words...they really help. XO and kind of cheery wave from Bev

I totally understand! We love our fur babies and do want them to suffer, but we don't like the alternative of having to put them to sleep. I had to make that decision this summer. Just pray about it and the Lord will provide all your needs.

Never worry about venting. One of the things I love about blogging is the reminder that everyone has tough times and we can be there to support each other. My husband just lost his job just 8 month after we moved here for the job! Now we are selling the house and looking to move again. It is financially pretty tight so I know where you are coming from. Praying that things will look up for you soon and that Charlie continues to do well.

it must be so hard for your worrying about Charlie, I expect you watch him so carefully but he is such a great companion for you.
Latest block looks so good, longing to see them all together.

Charlie is so blessed to have you. Our bonds with pets are so precious. Look forward to seeing how your gorgeous blocks come together. Andrea PS I like your life motto.
