Gingerly stepping off the Self-Pity Train

Well, it's 1:20 PM and I haven't had to have a pain pill all day. My rant is over for now. I've been taking care of my knee and the pain is barely there. Eric, my son, who knows about these things, told me to always keep my toes pointed in front of my knee. In other words, don't have your foot pointing in front of you and turn sideways with your body and bend down. Until I started practicing that simple thing, I didn't realize how often I do that.

I even felt good enough to stitch the last parts of the 3 Strawberry Social blocks together, mistake and all! They haven't been trimmed and squared up yet in this photo.

They will not be next to each other in the finished quilt. They will have a sashing strip between them of the background fabric. I'm using the Riley Blake Ombre Solid Green for the stems. The blocks are easy to make. The only tricky part is the leaves and those aren't hard if you follow directions.

Hope you have a great Saturday! XO and cheery wave!

I'll have to see where I'm pointing my toes.
