Yet Another BOM (free though) and a FREE Fons & Porter eBook!

Well, I didn't watch the Super Bowl but I just saw the Budweiser commercial with the little horse and can't stop crying. You can watch it HERE but you'd better have plenty of tissue handy! That really got to me! Today I have some fun things to share!

In case you haven't seen it yet, Country Threads has a FREE BOM for 2013. Each month you make a block in two sizes:  a 6" and a 12" block. Here are my blocks for January. The 12" block:
and the 6" block:
Here's the finished sampler:

As you can see, my colors (red, black and white) are much different that their colors. That's the beauty of these BOM's! You can make them your own. I decided to try to do something different color-wise. I don't know how it will look but that's part of the fun! You can get the pattern for January and February blocks from Country Threads HERE. I've loved Country Threads for years and done lots of their patterns. I especially like keeping up with the farm animals! These BOM's are great for me because I can do one or two blocks a month with ease.

More free stuff today! My blog friend, Karen, was asked by Fons & Porter to review their Log Cabin Quilt e-book! Karen says it is an awesome book complete with quilting designs. You can get this book for FREE! Woot! Find it HERE!  Not sure you want to commit to a download (although for the life of me I can't figure out why), you can read Karen's review HERE and see photos and get her expert opinion!

So there you go! A free BOM and free eBook and an expert review! Have a wonderful Monday! I hope you find some time to sew! Cheery wave from Bev

I think I might do those BOMs. I think even I could do those. They don't look real complicated. Hmmmm

I already have the January block but couldn't find February. Your blocks are great -- especially the 1st one.
