A Giveaway and a CLEAN Iron!

Hello and happy Thursday! Last night I tried some of the suggestions I got from you guys for cleaning my gunked up iron so I could start getting my first applique block ready on the Civil War Bride quilt. I got quite a bit done considering the blocks are so complicated and large:

I'm using freezer paper applique so I really need the iron. The first thing I tried for cleaning the iron was a Mr. Clean white magic eraser. It worked PERFECTLY! It was easy and the gunk came right off. Then I ironed a dryer sheet and the finish looks brand new. See what you think:
TA DA!!!!! You guys ROCK! THANK YOU so much! So guess what? Judy of 20 North Ora is having a giveaway to celebrate her 100th blog post. She makes tons of awesome things to decorate your home and is very talented. She is an amazing shopper and finds great stuff for her Etsy shop. Some of them get "the Judy treatment". For her giveaway, she's giving away a "made thing"...I don't know what to call it...and she will also make a Valentine table runner for the winner in the size you need for your table! I keep telling her she should write a book...her tutorials are great. She doesn't even answer me so guess she's content with blogging. You can enter her giveaway HERE. Thanks again for your help with my iron dilemma! I just love you guys! Have a happy Thursday! Hope you get a chance to sew! Cheery wave from Bev

Bev - Glad that worked on your iron. I'll try that also.

Thanks for the plug on my giveaway. I'm having a good response.

Didn't get back to my computer last night to give you the name of that stuff to clean your iron, but looks like you don't need it.

Thanks again.

Judy
