Saturday! I slept late...drat. I've been sleeping a lot since I recovered from my bout with pneumonia. I guess the older you get, the more it takes out of you. Yesterday I sewed together 3 little houses for the Summer Celebrations quilt.
They look kind of ratty before they are sewn into the block. The block has trees and some scrappy strips. It's such a fun quilt to do. Every block is different.

I've been thinking about the survivors of Hurricane Sandy. Press coverage has died down but they are still suffering. I've also been thinking about my quilting friends in Israel. Hamas has put their rocket launchers in schools and hospitals so Israel is forced to do ground combat or hurt many innocent civilians. Both of my quilting friends have children who are in the armed forces or who have served their time but have been called up for this war. I can't imagine. We are still, at this time, so fortunate to not have to deal with anything like that in the USA. Please pray for all today. I have so much to be grateful for!

Have a great Saturday. Grateful wave from Bev

We just don't really realize how lucky we are to live where we do, do we? We have so much to be grateful for.

Praying for your friends.

These are so bright and cheerful, I hope they gave you a bit more energy. They did me, and I'm recovering from the flu form a month ago. Your finished quilt will be fantastic in time for spring maybe!
