Saturday at the Sewing Machine

Hi everyone! I'm feeling even better today (thanks everyone who has wished me better) and I'm having an almost perfect day! I have the entire day free to sew! And, I'm able to be up for long periods of time! Woot! I am grateful! Yesterday I did a block for the Summer Celebration quilt. It's called Swamp Angel. Interesting name, right?

It's just 6 inches...a tiny block. I wish I knew the history of the names of some of these blocks. I also made the 7 tree blocks for this quilt. They are scattered all over the quilt. This Swamp Angel block has a little tree by it:

that I will add today. I made the trunks gray instead of brown. I don't want any dark brown in this quilt. Today I'm finishing an applique block for this quilt and doing some Farmer's Wife blocks. All day to sew...Heaven! Hope you are having a great Saturday and able to sew too...or shop or whatever makes you happy. Cheery wave! Bev

The Farmer's Wife book has stories of the reasons for the names of those blocks. Glad you are feeling better.
