Crazy Thursday!

Yikes! It's Crazy Thursday here at 44th Street! Why Crazy Thursday, you ask? I'm struggling with the temptation to order this pattern and start it as my hand applique project! CRAZY!

This is the Civil War Bride Quilt by Corliss Searcey. Many of you may have seen it. I've been looking at it for a long time and resisting. I don't have a hand applique project at the moment and I would love to do a quilt masterpiece like this one. Here's the reason I haven't already ordered the pattern: it can only be purchased from the ThreadBear shop in Australia. It costs $59.92 (including postage)! Yikes! It is a gorgeous quilt. I just don't know if I would finish it so don't know if I could justify buying it.

There's a blog just for this quilt. It is closed and has a waiting list so there are a lot of people doing this quilt. Would anyone else be interested in doing this quilt and forming a "support group"? You should check out the blog and look at the blocks people are working on. They are amazing. You can see it HERE. So today I will be pondering. Hope you have a great Thursday! Cheery wave from Bev

Bev, don't look to me to talk you out of it! I've signed up for 3 BOM's. The Yoko Mystery Quilt, Sweet & Simple and the latest, and favorite Urban Owls from Material Obsessions. When you realize you're crazy it's nice to know you have company. Kerry
