Down on the Farm Today

I put my first 20 Farmer's Wife blocks on the dining room table to see how they look together. Hummmmm....I just don't know. I added white to one of the blocks and don't like it so I'll probably do that one over. I think I like it without white. I'm going to have to look at it for a while though. There are 110 blocks in this quilt at a tiny (to me) 6" each so I want to love it when it's finished.
These blocks are so much more fun to make than I thought they would be. The printable pattern pieces make it so easy. Have a happy Tuesday! Cheery wave from Bev

Hate to say it, but I think the white is a bit to stark for the beautiful colours of the other blocks. And like you say, those are small blocks, so you should love it when it is finished. Or, perhaps you could move that one block to the side or bottom of the quilt. What ever you do, it's going to be spectacular.

Bev, your work is spectacular!! Don't know how you work on that tiny stuff. I agree that the white kinda sticks out from all of those other vibrant colors.

Beautiful work

I have white in one I need to fix also. There are 111 total in the Farmer's wife, sorry, you get to make 1 more than you're thinking now. That block doesn't look too tough to fix it and just change out the white pieces.

My mum bought me the book for ths quilt I am sewing y blocks by and unless I ave foundation piece them.

The white does stand out quite a bit unless you are going to more blocks I would leave it out.

Love those colorful fabrics! I am not brave enough to try FW yet, but am in awe of the wonderful examples I have seen.

Found you through Bonnie's linky.
