Happy Friday! Sadly for me, I have to work at my "real job" this weekend to catch up. I finally got the binding on my Dresden Plate quilt and I'm sewing on the binding! I have a couple of products that I want to show you today.
If you haven't already used these and you ever bind a quilt and sew it down by hand, you have to try them! I'm not selling them...just sharing.
Clover Wonder Clips...sigh...I love them! They make sewing down any bias tape edges or quilt binding so much easier! I just love them and promise that, if you try them, you won't be disappointed!
Then, there are my favorite, don't know what I would do without them, FriXion pens from Pilot! You can write on fabric with this easy-gliding gel pen and just touch it with an iron or throw it in the dryer and the ink is gone! It's an amazing product. I use it to mark quilt patterns and to trace around templates for applique. I started to sell these in the shop but you can get them much cheaper at Walgreens or Target than I can sell them. It's been so wonderful to not have the frustration of marking pencils breaking and just not showing up well enough.
Here's a short video showing how it works on fabric:
Well, time to work. Hope you all have a great Friday! Don't forget to enter our AUGUST GIVEAWAY! Cheery wave from Bev

Doubt I'll ever start any more quilts due to my arthritis in my hands, as I loved the hand-quilting the most, but I love to watch you make yours!

Now I am on the search for that pen. I can't believe how the marks disappear. Since I am new to your blog I am looking forward to see what you make.
Hi Bev,
I LOVE the clips also. What did we do without them? I also use the Frixion pens. But, be careful. Do not use them on dark fabrics. They "draw" the color right out when it is pressed and you end up with a faint, white line. Test them out first.

I love those clips too. :) My WalMart doesn't have those Frixion pens - I keep looking but can't find them. Next time I'm close to a Target I'll look there. Thanks for showing these. blessings, marlene
I saw those clips and was wondering what they would be like. It would be easier than pins. I agree with you that if someone doesn't like what someone is working on they still should encourage them. Have a good day and keep quilting. marlaruthnelson@gmail.com
