Good morning! I thought I would share a fun way to cut charm squares! You can use 4 charm squares to get these pieces:
Just sew 4 charm squares into a 4-patch:
Then line up the seams you've sewn with that yellow line that goes down the middle of your ruler and cut the corners off. The ruler should touch 3 seams as shown:
You get an hourglass block and when you sew the 4 corner triangles you cut off together, you get 2 half-square triangle blocks! Easy Peasy. You do need to be careful when pressing or handling the pieces because the edges are on the bias. It's a great way to utilize the charm squares you've got on your shelves. Of course, you can cut any size squares and do this. Well, just wanted to share this with you. Reminder: You can enter the giveaway HERE! Hope your Wednesday is a happy one! XO from Bev
