"Elder Creep"

Have you heard of "elder creep"? It's the phenomenon of inexplicable forgetting that occurs when one gets older. I used to know where everything was and could visualize exactly what I had in my stash. Now that I'm an "elder", I keep finding things that I have no recollection of starting. I found these blocks yesterday. They were pinned together with a note that said "Shortcake".
I'm pretty sure it was a pattern we sold in the shop and that the 9 patch blocks are alternated with the square in a square blocks in the quilt. There were also pieces cut to make more blocks. When did I start it? Ya got me. I'd love to stitch some up today but I have a project I have to MAKE myself finish. Thanks again to all of you who wrote to me about Charlie. It means so much! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XO Bev

They're very cute, as is the Swoon block you posted yesterday. Love the bee skep center. I keep seeing Swoon houses blocks & think I might have to go in that direction. (Sheesh! There goes my imagination running wild again!)

Hi Dear, I have the same problem with my stash but I think it has more to do with having such a large stash. You having a store I am sure it is much larger than what I have. So we need a sewing related term like stashitis or stash creep maybe stash dementia? Hee hee But let's not make it because we are getting old! Peace be with you!
