I Won Something and the Sale Continues!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited! I actually won something and it's a first for me. I've entered lots of giveaways and never won anything. BUT, the Aurifil thread company gives away a set of Aurifil thread each month to a person randomly chosen who posts their BOM block on the Aurifil Flickr group. I've made all 12 blocks this year and this month I won this:

It's in my colors too! It came in this nifty box and is Pat Sloan's Perfect Box of Colors! The colors are even prettier in person!

What a nice thing to win! This is the collage of the 2014 blocks that I finished (woot)! And, get this, this photo has been viewed 7923 times on Flicker since December 1st. That's way, way more than any other photo I've ever put on Flicker. I've tried to see how this happened but I can't figure it out! The block photos aren't even that good. I wish I knew what happened because I'd do that for all my Flickr photos! Does anyone know?

So it was great to win--especially on a day when I found out that my "real job" is going away! I'll no longer be doing copy writing at home...I'll be unemployed! Anyone have any suggestions for an old woman whose wardrobe is sadly wanting? My knee's too bad to stand on my feet all day so that let's out a lot of jobs. It's like Merry Christmas to me-lol. Guess I'll use this time to design some patterns that I've wanted to do and put some more of my unfinished tops on eBay. And, I'm continuing to do my fabric sale. Half price on fabric and 30% off patterns. If you need some fabric at a great price, you can see my fabric on my Etsy shop HERE. But please don't buy it there...just email me at bev@44thstreetfabric.com and tell me what you want and I'll send you a PayPal invoice that reflects the sale price. Sunday I'm going to put some scrap bags in the shop and some fabric that was in reserve for people who never ended up buying it. Well, hope you're all ready for Christmas and enjoying the holidays! Thanks to everyone who has bought sale fabrics! XO and cheery wave from Bev

You know what they say about one door shutting and another opening. Looks like there's wonderful adventures coming your way. It's already starting with the thread, congratulations!

Isn't it amazing how you can be having a rough day and something fun like winning a contest happens to brighten it. I'm sure it will be just a matter of time before you find something else.

what a great win. Sorry to read your job has gone, fingers crossed something better will come your way, maybe in the new year so you can enjoy some time to design and enjoy the festive season first

Congratulations! Those are lovely threads and nice colours too.
I suppose it's the bright cheerful colours of your blocks that attract all those viewers?

Gosh I am sorry about your job. I hope something surprising and wonderful comes your way. Aurifil thread is just the best thing to win. Re the number of views- there are a lot of people doing the Aurifil BOM, and they are all looking at the photos. In our little Facebook quilting group of 25 there are 3 doing it. And that is in New Zealand. I think the numbers must be huge.
