Charlie Health Scare and BIG SALE for Blogger Friends!

Good morning! I spent a harrowing few hours with Charlie at the emergency vet yesterday. He went outside and when he didn't come right back in, I looked out and he was laying on his side by the bottom step. He was unable to climb the steps to come back in. I looked at his gums and they were white (what the vet told me to look for). So I rushed him to the vet thinking that this would be the day he would be put down or just pass away.

They put him in intensive care (this is the state of the art vet in Oklahoma) and put him in the oxygen cage. They gave him some medication and I sat out in the waiting room crying. After about 30 minutes, the vet came out and said that he had rallied and was looking good! They kept him in the oxygen cage for about another hour or so and then sent him home! He looks great now...go figure! He's actually prancing around! I tell you, this is hard on a pet mommy! Thanking God today for more quality time with Charlie.
BUT, that little episode cost a fortune! Yes, the stress and expense are worth it. So, I've decided to put all the fabric (except fat quarters) on sale for half price in the Etsy shop--just for my USA blogging friends. International is okay but the shipping rates have made it ultra expensive to ship so I don't know what real savings you would have. The shop has a lot of basics (like polka dots and solids) and some cute prints. If you need any of the basic fabrics in colors shown above, please consider shopping with me. I also have some cute Christmas prints. Patterns are 30% off. You can see the Etsy shop HERE. Everything shows regular prices. If you are interested in buying something, just message me at bev@44thstreetfabric.com and tell me what you want. Don't pay for it until I send you an invoice with the correct, half-price amounts. Also, let me know if you have questions. If you don't need anything right now, don't worry about it. I just thought this might be a way to help pay for this latest, very expensive episode. If Charlie wasn't having such good quality of life between episodes, I wouldn't put either one of us through this. So thanks! Hope you're having a great week and not going through any trauma! XO and grateful wave from Bev (and Charlie)

Oh Bev, I am so glad you have more time with your furbaby. I have gone through one situation very similar to this and I can attest to the fact that it is extremely difficult for us pet mommas. Sending healing hugs of light.

Bev, it is all to easy to imagine exactly how you feel. I saw the link on Carolyn's sew.darn.quilt and just had to head over here. We have three much loved dogs and I know how expensive those vet bills can be. May you and Charlie have many more good times together!
