First, let me say THANK YOU to all who supported me in dealing with the snarky woman's email! I was really irritated more than upset...getting something like that out of the blue is like a kick in the gut. I was surprised and dismayed that some of my blog buddies wrote about people saying stuff like that to their face! I guess God knows better than to let someone do that to me... So anyway, I'm just saying "bless your heart" to her (that's Southern for, well, you know) and maybe sending her a link to my blog post so that she can read the replies. I tell ya, quilters have each other's back! I know that I wouldn't want to mess with any of the quilters I know. You are a tough group! In fact, one of my favorite quilters posted a pic of herself with her machete the other day! hahahaha You can see it HERE (she has some awesome tutorials on her blog too). Thanks to all of you! I just love ya!
I've been working on my Oklahoma Beauty quilt, getting it together and all the paper removed from the paper piecing. I swear, that is a real job! Now I have to decide about a border. It needs one and I'm feeling like an applique border might be in order. But I don't want to do a traditional applique border so I just don't know. I thought about putting a beauty block in each corner of the border but that means making 4 more blocks....I'm still thinking about it. So I have nothing to show you except this beautiful flag:
Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends! Oh Canada, Oh Canada....that's all I know. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying your special day! Our 4th of July is Friday. I'm not going to take the day off because Charlie needs his expensive medicine but I am going to take the weekend off. My son, Eric and his wife are building a house and we're going to have a picnic on the building site. They are so excited that I'm sure the builder is hoping they don't just move in. Well, I'm off to work. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for your support! XO and cheery wave from Bev

Well bless you lil' o' pea picking heart for linking to my hideous picture! LOL! Glad to hear you didn't let ole negative Nellie ruin your day.
I learned most of the words to the Canadian anthem by going to hockey games.
I'm glad you're recovered from the nastiness yesterday. I think a lot of people say ugly things because we can't see their faces on the internet. And then there are those who just say ugly things.
good to read you got so much support Bev, lets hope your lady! has learnt from all this and will think in future before she acts
I hope you had a wonderful holiday!
hugs, Elsina
