Straggler blocks from Virtual Quilting Bee

I finished two more blocks from the Virtual Quilting Bee (yet another one of my ufo's) because they are having a contest with prizes. You don't have to have a finished project...just something. I now have 8 blocks finished and thought, if I had 9 blocks, I could do a wall hanging. THEN I read that there will be voting. That sort of stopped it for me although I am going to finish the 9th block.
This was an experiment in fussy cuts for me. I used Lori Holt's fabrics with a few additions. I've never won anything on-line. I never win giveaways or contests of any kind and so won't be entering. When voting happens in contests like this, I get like 80 votes and some people get 1500 votes!

I enjoyed doing fussy cutting so this has been totally worth it for me. It's especially fun using Lori Holt's fabrics because they lend themselves to fussy cutting. Charlie is doing fine...thanks to everyone who's been emailing me! He doesn't have the "pep" he had before his collapse but he's getting around and doesn't seem to be in pain or anything. We are getting a couple of days of 60 degree weather and then another round of frigid weather with ice. sigh..... So off to work for me today. At this point, I am caught up (cheering in background) and if I can keep it up through tomorrow, I can have the entire weekend off! That hasn't happened in a long time! I just have to psyche myself up for writing about the Landlord Tenant Act in 4 states, some jewelry sets for another client and spring coats and jackets for another client. TaDa! Hope everyone has a great Thursday! XO and cheery wave from Bev

I love the fussy cutting you did! I know how you feel about the voting, I wouldn't even get 800! LOL I have never done good with popularity votes like that. I love your stuff and would vote for you!

great fussy cutting and colour choice looks good in the quilt too. Good to hear Charlie has recovered, he certainly has the will to live, bounces back every time.
You are going to be busy on your weekend off, enjoy
