A border Sunday...auditioning borders....

Hi ya'll! Today I'm sewing borders onto some tops to get them in a state that could possibly lead to quilting... Here's a little wall hanging for Dylan's room. I've just pinned up the fabric that I thought would be a great border prior to cutting it.

Now that I'm looking at it, I'm wondering if it needs a "stop" border. I'm thinking maybe a 1" finished red or blue border before the busy print border just to contain and separate it from the design inside. What do you all think? I plan to put a lot of buttons on this little quilt since it will be on the wall. Dylan's 4 now so I figure I'd better finish it before she gets any older. Also, she just got her own room at Daddy's house (sadly...Daddy now has his own house because of a breakup). And yes, that is a little lamb--not a dog like everyone thinks. It will have button eyes as will the bird. It's still cloudy so can't get a very good pic.

I hope everyone is having a great day! We are supposed to get good weather starting on Wednesday. I'll be so glad to get rid of the ice and clouds and snow! Well, I'm off to border land...please let me know what you think about the border(s) on this little wall hanging. XO and cheery wave from Bev

That's a darling wall hanging! I like the border fabric! I think a thin blue border would really pop!

The binding will do what you want, just go with the red or blue, like you thought.

I think that border fabric was made to go with that quilt!

I rather like it as it is but see most think an extra border would be better. I knew that was a lamb, it is going to be lovely for a 4 year old
