I won't tell if you won't!

Last night I finished my "real job" assignment pretty late but I wanted to stitch up a couple more Farmer's Wife blocks. Soooo...I used a pen to mark the Broken Dishes block that was not my old reliable Frixon iron off pen...it was a permanent pen. To make a long story short, right in the middle of the block after it was all sewn together, there were pen marks. So it now has a little flower in the middle. I was just too tired to make another or take it apart:
I really should not be sewing together all those little pieces after 9 PM. I also did an easy Spool block with lots of white:

Now I have 21 of the 25 blocks finished. I should be finished with the blocks by Saturday and can start on the sashing.

Would you please pray for my blog friend Judy and her husband? They are both wonderful people to do countless things to help others. John has gone through cancer treatment and they found out on Monday that he has a new kind of cancer and had to undergo major surgery this morning. Can you please send prayers and good thoughts their way? Wow, it seems like so many quilter's husbands are going through this. It sucks to have something like this happen. It totally disrupts everyone's lives and it's frightening. Thank you in advance for that! You can see Judy's beautiful blog HERE.

Hope your day is wonderful and that you and yours are healthy and happy! XOXO Bev

Sending prayers for Judy and John. Such sad news and I agree, we seem to be hearing things like this more and more. Reminders to be grateful for what is good in our lives.

So, I'm not the only one who has picked up the wrong pen and added an applique. I love your blocks! Prayers from Atlanta.

Sending prayers. I know exactly what she is going through. I lost my husband one month ago to that dreaded disease.

I love it when quilters find creative ways to 'fix' quilting challenges! Great job. Don't know how you have the energy to go into your sewing room after a full day's work.. I can only hand stitch at night!

First time on your blog but wanted to share a tip I picked up along the way. Crayons washable markers work just like those expensive quilters pens abd they are cheap! A quick trip through the wash and all of your marks are gone and the quilt gets that lovely wrinkly texture that says it is done and ready for snuggling. You said in your blog that you have a hard time finishing your quilts... So I am guessing they sit around for awhile. I once used black marker on light pink fabric and let it sit in the sun in my sewing space for months and when I washed it there were no marks left at all! Thought it might help!
