Still here...and sharing the 50's

Hand is better today! Still typing with one hand but better! Thank you so much for all the sympathy! I'm still taking sympathy and get well gifts!

BillieBee's blog shared Part One of Best of Times today and I'm hopping on that train and sharing Part Two and Part Three for you. As someone who was there and had all this music, I think the guy who put these together got some of the 60's and 70's mixed up with the 50's....especially the cars. Life was so different then. Singing was not enhanced by special electronics...there weren't any electronics. Those voices were natural. It almost makes me cry to think that my grandchildren have such a different world to grow up in. Be that as it may, enjoy!

BTW, In the Still of the Night is still the best slow dance song ever! Cheery wave from Bev

  1. Music back then was simple and great. I'm only 44 but my dad is a big music lover and we listened to all the older music as youngsters. Still to this day I love it. The music today for the most part is lacking the vocal harmonies of yesteryear.
