It's all fun and games...

Tuesday! My "real job" deadline! My daughter, Gina, is an artist and potter. I did convince her to do a quilt top for herself and told her I would quilt it. She worked and worked on the blocks and there are enough to do 2 full size quilts. Her blocks just sat around in storage for a couple of years and I found them and am piecing them into a quilt to surprise her with. Hopefully by her birthday. I thought I'd show you a photo of it. The blocks are 3" x 3" so I don't know whether to consider it a postage stamp quilt but I think I can.
It's in reproduction vintage feedsack fabrics. I love how she was able to get a scrappy look for her first quilt. I'm doing a setting where the blocks are in rows by color.

Lola, my shih tzu girl, woke up sick yesterday and had to go to the vet. She's on antibiotics and ear meds now. Her trip to the vet inspired my Pinterest selection:
Pretty good wisdom for many life situations! Have a great Tuesday! Hope you find time to sew! Cheery wave from Bev

Are you in Abilene, TX? You're not far from me, I live right outside Arlington. I was just there a month ago buying a handcrank sewing machine from a friend who collects vintage machines. I'm from Lubbock.
I really like the quilt, your daughter is going to be thrilled!
