The Best Laid Plans....

Hi all! Well, yesterday I had all day to sew. I was so excited. And I did get some sewing done. I completed Block No. 7 of Farmers Wife, Birds in the Air:
And I got Farmers Wife Block 8, Bouquet, finished:

and finished Farmers Wife Block No 9, Box:

and Farmers Wife Block No 10, Bowtie:

Then I finished Summer Celebration Applique Block No 2:

Then, I took just a moment to rest my eyes and BAM, it was 7 PM at night! Drat, I lost half at day to napping! It made me so mad! I was really going great on getting things finished. Oh well. I can take some time to sew today but have to do housework. Every time I turn around Charlie and Lola are "gifting" me with dead leaves on the floor. Seems like the pecan trees are shedding like crazy but none of the other trees are. Until last week, I still had flowering crepe myrtle. So I'm going to try again today during what time I can.

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I'm still praying for the people affected by Hurricane Sandy. I support the Red Cross. They, along with tons of volunteers, are doing a great job! I wish I had more to give them! Have a wonderful Sunday! Hope you get to sew some today! Cheery wave from Bev

Great blocks! I think your body was telling you, 'you need to rest'. :-) Hope you have a wonderful day!

I absolutely love the fabrics you are using. My theory is that if I sleep, I must have needed it. You still got a lot done. I just received my copy of the FW patterns, and am looking forward to getting started. Have to wait until after Christmas, though. My plate is full right now:)

I love your blocks my mum gave me the book and cd for my birthday I haven't started yet. I am working on a similar quilt the civil war love letters I have completed 30+ blocks. Yes you probably needed the nap after being sick. I quite often find myself having little Nana naps when you sit down and your mind quitens !

Seems like you got a lot done though. I did a little sewing myself yesterday. Wanted to do more today, but had a bunch of running to the store/s with my husband...of which he bought nothing...wasted a whole day.
Oh, as a side note "don't turn around."

I have to set my alarm or my naps will be too long also, then I feel worse! I think you got a lot accomplished yesterday!

Nice blocks! We got power back on today! Yay! I'm tired of sewing hexies. Once everything around here starts to resemble normalcy, I'm firing up the iron and the sewing machine! Considering myself very lucky these days.
