Another Giveaway Entry, Free Gift Tags and More

Wow, it's Thursday already! Yesterday I cut out the blocks for the next Row Along block. I only got to sew on them a little. I did go through some of the Farmer's Wife blocks I made for my bright FW quilt that is abandoned for the lighter version I'm currently making. I thought this one block, Checker Board might work with the lighter quilt but have decided it probably is too dark.
I picked this one to blog about because...see the aqua fabric with the yellow? That is the first cotton fabric I ever bought in, I believe, about 1978. It was almost impossible to find cotton fabric at that time. The 70's were the decade of polyester. I still have this fabric and several others and they still work great today. It's 36" wide. I put some of that fabric on eBay to sell a few years ago and no-one wanted it but it has to be a collector's item--it's at least 35 years old.

I wanted to remind everyone today about the APQS Longarm quilting machine giveaway. You can enter every day until the drawing HERE. I also wanted to let you know that at Jennifer Jangles blog, you can print out as many gift tags from her original designs for the holidays as you want for free! Find those HERE! And, last but not least, even if you have already entered our blog giveaway, you can get an extra entry for being so patient HERE. Just comment "read your post". We will see who really does...heh heh.
Have a great Thursday! Cheery wave from Bev

Bev - The aqua is so popular now that I bet people wish they would have bought that fabric back then.

Have a great weekend!!
