Tools of the Trade and Giveaway Reminders

Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share some awesome tools I've found that have made my sewing and quilting easier and more fun! I don't sell these items...I'm just sharing with my blog friends.

First are the Little Genie Magic Bobbin Washers. These are little Teflon covered circles that you can insert in your bobbin case. The Teflon makes your bobbin thread glide out easily and makes your machine quilting stitches much more uniform. I can really see a difference! You can find them and the Supreme Slider (I use the big one) HERE.

Second is this Ultimate Marking Pencil by Hancy. I love this thing! It easily marks on dark fabric and then disappears like magic when you iron it! I like pouncers but they are a pain if you have to put your quilt aside during the quilting process because they can rub off. This pencil makes lines that stay on the quilt. You can find them HERE.

Last but not least is the flexible jar opener pad. You can find these anywhere for pennies. These are wonderful if you have to rip out stitches or "reverse stitch" as they say. You know all those annoying little threads on the fabric? Just rub with one of these and they come right off and the other threads just pull right out! It saves me so much time. Of course, I know you guys don't have to "reverse stitch" much, but...just in case......

Don't forget the Giveaways on the blog!  Our Fall Giveaway is for 8 one-half pieces of Daisy Cottage fabric and you can enter HERE. Enter Jennifer Jangle's Giveaway for tons of great items HERE. And enter for a chance to win an awesome pincushion and find some amazing tutorials for embroidery from the talented Jill O'Leary HERE.

Good luck to everyone! Have a wonderful weekend! Cheery wave from Bev

Thank you. Thank you. I will confess my seam ripper and I are very close. It is more of a love/ hate relationship though. The tip about the jar opener will save me a lot of time. I knew there had to be something out there to help me with those loose stitches.
