Some Blocks Out on the Dining Room Table!

Wow! I have been amazed to read the comments on my blog entry yesterday about my birthday present Glock 19! No-one can say that quilters aren't tough...even Grandma quilters! That's a far cry from the image people have of us! I'm so proud of all of you! Like everyone said, I am going to take classes. My first trip to the gun range will be soon.
Here are about 1/5th of the blocks in Peri's quilt that I laid out on the dining room table. The lighting is horrible and I know the dark block at the bottom sticks out but I was dying to get an idea of how it would look. I have quite a few dark blocks so I'll sprinkle those throughout the quilt and may end up taking them out. What do you think? I was going to crop and try to fix it but didn't have time. I wish I had a design wall big enough for a full size quilt!

Well, today's a deadline day for my weekly writing assignments. Guess I'll be working late into the night. Don't forget to enter all 3 of the giveaways I put on the blog last week and if you go to Georgia Peachez blog, there is a lady who bought one of her amazing vintage ornament wreaths and is doing a giveaway for it. The link is on Georgia's Peachez blog. I entered that one! I would LOVE to have one of those wreaths but would never be able to afford it!

Have a great Tuesday! Hope none of the pistol packing quilters have to use their guns today! Cheery wave from Bev

I missed your posting about getting broke into. I don't think I could ever have a Gun in my house. The blocks look good!

Love the blocks Bev, and I'm sure the dark ones will work ad give your quilt depth. What weekly writing assignments do you have? Are you studying?

I love it! It is going to be beautiful! I would like that pattern. It would look good in solids too!

Love your block colors. I like the dark ones also, they add contrast I think. Sorry about your break-in, how horrible. I would carry a gun if I was you. Hopefully you will never have to put idiots like that in their place by using it ;)
