Amazing Free Tutorials AND Another Awesome Giveaway!

Good Morning! I LOVE pincushions! I have a "thing" for pincushions. As people who sew and quilt, I KNOW that you all love pincushions! Well, I have something wonderful to share with you! I found the most talented designer who makes pincushions that are little works of art! She is amazing! Her name is JILL O'LEARY and she is going to give one of my lucky readers this FREE pincushion/work of art made in sweet calico prints!!! See how to enter to win it below!
Jill sells her gorgeous pincushions, emery pincushions and more goodies at her Etsy shop, Fiberluscious (and they certainly are)! In fact, Jill has a generous coupon just for you for 15% off your first purchase at her Etsy shop on her blog.

Just look at these strawberry emery creations to sharpen needles and pins...I love these!
I love finding a really nice, generous person who will share, not only photos of her beautiful creations, but share her knowledge and experience so that I can try my hand at making them too.

I have been looking for gifts for my quilting and sewing friends for the holidays and the beautiful pincushions from Jill's Etsy shop will make perfect gifts.

Yes, with Jill's instructions and probably $1000 in materials I would buy cause I want everything in the store when I start a new project, I could probably make everyone a pincushion. I just don't have time to do that! I'd much rather shop at Fiberluscious.

After the holidays I do want to try making some pincushions. Just look at all that beautiful embroidery!

And look! Little houses! She has adorable little pin cushion houses!

And a pincushion ring! I LOVE this! I could go on and on. So here's how you enter. Just leave a quick  comment on my blog and a comment on her new blog. That's it. She will send some lucky entrant the calico tomato pincushion shown in the first photo of this post! Here's the link to her blog: Fiberluscious
The winner of the pincushion will be announced next Saturday!

I hope you enjoy her blog as much as I have and that you join it, follow it and try the new ideas she presents from time to time. Now I'm off to start on the 3rd row of the Row Along quilt from Lori Holt! The 3rd row is posted on her blog early because she's going to be a some fun quilting/sewing thing! Have a great Saturday and good luck in the pincushion giveaway! Cheery wave from Bev

Love pin cushions; these are adorable. I just bought my first pin cushion kit; broke my finger and no sewing. In the meantime, I have been reading about all the "advantages and disadvantages" of various "stuffing" used in the pin cushion. Who would have thought of allergies!

Oh My Gosh! Jill is one talented lady!!! I loved her blog and am signing up to follow her. I can only imagine the time she must put into some of those pin cushions. I really enjoyed reading her blog. My favorite part is all the "tips" that she gives to encourage us to pick up the needle and embroider. She gives such wonderful advise. thank you so much for "introducing" me to her and her wonderful Blog! What a talented person she is. :)

Bev, can you help me with finding the exact place where we are to leave a "comment" on Jill's site? I really enjoyed my visit on her blog, and read through quite a bit of it. Boy is she talented! (I mentioned that earlier in my comment to you.) I just cannot find the area where to comment so that I can be included in this fabulous opportunity. Thank you (You don't have to publish this comment) thanks

Oh wow, I'd LOVE to win that pin cushion! Actually, I'd love to have the creativity to do a pincushion. I can stitch them and wonkily finish them but nothing harder than a rectangle shape. Love that pear!

For Sew Sealy (sorry to answer this way but I can't figure out how to answer each comment individually-hope you see this)! Just scroll down to where it says "comments". Jill's blog entry is very long so keep scrolling. Click on "comments" and it takes you right to the box to leave your own comment. Thanks for checking!

I own several of Jill's beautifully handcrafted pincushions. Have also commissioned her to create some custom cushion creations to give as gifts. Honestly, the photos don't show you the extraordinary detail and thoughtfully placed stitches. If you're lucky enough to own one of her little pieces of art, you will delight in it for years to come. This I promise you. ;)
