Just a Little More Farming...and a Little About the Colors....

I couldn't sleep at all last night....(those are song lyrics)...only I was "thinkin" of quilting. Here are a couple of the Farmer's Wife blocks I made at 2 AM. Block Fifty-four, Kitchen Woodbox:

and Block Fifty-five, Linoleum:

A lady named Josie emailed me and said that she thought my blocks all look like they come from different quilts because of the colors. What I do is pick a group of colors that I love. That's what I've done in the Fat Eighths Bundle that I put together for this quilt:

This is actually my on-going favorites that I use in almost all of the quilts I'm doing now. When I think the stack of fabrics looks good together, I know that I'll like the quilt. There are 120 blocks in this quilt so I'll get around to mixing up the colors more. I'm all about fussy cutting the larger prints so am coordinating with the fussy cut block. If you're new to quilting, I have a good tip on fussy cutting but no photos so will share that tomorrow. Hope you're having a wonderful holiday weekend! XO and cheery wave from Bev
